The Emerson Custom ground plate for Strat® is an aluminum plate based on the original that Fender® used on single-ply Strat pickguards from 1954-1959 that allows for a common ground that can be shared by the switch and potentiometer controls.  This ground plate follows standard Strat control configurations, fits the underside of the pickguard and also works as a shield from RF noise.
